k5james
That's no punishment. They'll get the money back anyway. It's a grandstand.
RiverCityBronco
They should lose at least 25% of their football scholarships. That would be a start.

Rofl_copter_dos
This is an attempt to deter the NCAA from levying any punishment of its own. Unfortunately it'll probably work. Cowards, all of them.
Hugh Jiddump
The conferences are never gonna do anything. See B1G and State Penn. those administrations are all bound to have worse skulls in their closets #Illuminati Penn State was the hill for the NCAA to either die on, or reign in these corrupt football factories. But they half azzed it til they had to wave the white flag. #LimpWristedRule

wolfpack1
I think it was in that article or another one that I read today which said NCAA has opened an informal investigation into Baylor and possible academic fraud that may have happen at Baylor brought by some releases from court documents. Insane! I don't know ole Miss is getting hit pretty hard, mainly because the NCAA is taking so long. As a result, their recruiting classes have been hit tremendously (by SEC standards) due to the uncertainty.

RogueStout
The Conference has nothing to gain by punishing them. Let the NCAA do it or chicken out. This just looks stupid. The Big 12 should have just said they were deferring to someone with better investigation ability and more authority. Now they seem like they are in on it. Then again, this is the Big 12 we are talking about. The Walking Dead.
