What a disgrace, reasonable democrats should be embarrassed.

The Russia illegitimacy mantra is out of control.  Did they hack the DNC, sure.  Did they try to influence the election, sure.

So did Ukraine the other way.

So did the US regarding Brexit when Obama threatened the back of the que (I don't know how the freaking Brits spell that stupid word and don't care, they can even properly use the last letter of the alphabet, so whatever).

So did the US in the Israeli elections.

and phuck, I sure wish we would have tried to keep the Philippines from electing that wing nut they have now.

Then we got John Lewis saying Trump is illegitimate so for the first time in his career, he won't go to the inauguration.  Except he did the same freaking thing 16 years ago when Dubya was elected.  So I guess it's only legit when his side wins.

then half of the few remaining house democrats are boycotting the inauguration because Trump is the devil.  The inauguration is about America and the peaceful transfer of power, not Trump per se.

And I'll be damned if Trump isn't right about the CIA playing politics and leaking.  Brennan can get on his high horse all he wants about Trump calling the leakers Nazis, but why isn't he firing anyone for leaking made up crap like trump had hookers pee in Obamas bed?

then to top it, Obama pardons Chelsea, the traitor and leaker, who absolutely got our people killed, by leaking to of all people, Assange.  The very same phucker they say threw the election.  Are you kidding me?

bitch about trump all you want, lord knows I do, but you idiots are no better.  Not one bit.

Sadly, the Democratic Party has gone all in in "identity politics".  They realize that they are going to lose elections unless they run a Black candidate now (the black voters will stay home and not vote for an old liberal white Democrat).

As the Democrats work to solidify their base, they will focus on identity politics.   Expect less talk on issues , and more on the following:

1.  Is America willing to vote a woman as President?  We need to empower Girls through education....Girls really have it bad compared to boys (as if girls are currently oppressed and don't have opportunity).  And Hillary only lost because America isn't ready to have a woman lead.  Trump encourages assaulting women.  (Female gender identity politics.)

2.  Donald Trump is out to get black people (not sure how).  Trump is aligned with Alt Right and Neo Nazis.  Jeff Sessions is the head of the KKK.  Trump attacked black civil rights leaders.  Trump hates blacks. (Black identity politics).

3.  Trump is out to get Latinos, because of the wall proposals.  Trump destroying Mexican families.  (Latino identity politics).

4.  The election was white America lashing out at minorities.... Etc etc

There will not be much debate on real issues.  Elections are won by Democrats by encouraging identity politics.  Obama said the same things as Hillary, but Hillary, an old white liberal, didn't win, and just isn't cool.

Be 100 percent confident that in the next Presidential election the Democrats will run a black candidate.  Black people are inherently cool, while white people are not.  Plus, getting the black voters to show up is crucial if they are going to win.

Top next election candidates:

Cory Booker

Kamila Harris

A lot of similar behavior was condoned, if not celebrated, for the last eight years. (I'm not naive. It was condoned and celebrated for the eight years before that ... and the eight years before that.) Is calling the president-elect illegitimate worse than the America-hatin', socialist-in-chief, "You Lie" rhetoric from folks on the right?

Wait until the SCOTUS nomination. The GOP gave the Dems license to make sure that is a +++++ing disaster. This is the downward spiral we're in. Why would anyone expect Dems to act any differently than Republicans?

The hypocrisy is strong on both sides.

Isn't Al Gore your hero?

Honestly, I've never paid attention to him.  Never even seen An Inconvenient Truth.

I don't even surf teh internets.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears; it was their final, most essential command.

The Russia stuff is way overboard at this point, I agree.

But lol at a member of the orange man-baby's party telling others to grow up when your party elected someone with the mind of an adolescent child as president. Gold Jerry, Gold!

You do recall who his opponent was, right?

There was no good option.  You either voted for bad or worse.

Clearly neither one of you actually read this article.....It doesn't even come close to discussing what you think it does.

The fact that you, someone who boasts about not reading links people post, would write the above is beyond ironic. It's comical.

So.....which part of the article talks about elected Republican officials boycotting Obama's inauguration? Prove me wrong.....

What I was responding to from the OP:

"then half of the few remaining house democrats are boycotting the inauguration because Trump is the devil.  The inauguration is about America and the peaceful transfer of power, not Trump per se."

Since you can't provide that quote from the article like I asked, I'll just assume you now realize that your link had absolutely nothing to do with elected GOP members boycotting Obama like you thought it did and lead others to believe. Is that correct?

Not the same thing.

For one thing they didn't "boycott", they just couldn't be bothered to go.  They didn't say we aren't going because Obama is unworthy of the office, they stayed home because of traffic.

And second inagurations are different.  There is no transfer of power, and it isn't unusual for Members to skip it.  Should they?  No, but it's pretty common.

Oh. So in an effort to combat the point the op made about elected officials boycotting inaugurations being bad, you knowingly posted an article that had nothing to do with elected GOP officials doing that on purpose? Seems like an odd strategy. What exactly was the point? You just like posting random links?

Given that for the last 8 years the admitted overarching strategy of the GOP Congressional leadership was to oppose anything proposed by Obama simply because he proposed it, I can't see how you could expect anything different. After what we've seen from Trump, do really expect precedent and decorum to matter anymore?
