UNLV leads the all-time series 31-4.

UNLV is 15-3 all-time at Utah State, but is just 1-1 over the last two seasons in Logan

The two schools only met once last year. UNLV won the game, 80-68, in Logan on Jan. 19

UNLV is just 1-4 away from home this year, including 1-2 in true road games.

UNLV is 337-144 (.701) all-time against teams that currently make up the Mountain West

Utah State is coming off a home win over New Mexico (79-75) on Wednesday, which snapped a three-game losing streak

The Aggies are 5-3 at home this year

USU Head coach Tim Duryea is in his second year as a college head coach and has a career record of 23-22 (.511).

Since the 3-point field goal was adopted by the NCAA in 1986-87, UNLV has converted at least one 3-pointer in all 990 games played.

Against BSU Kris Clyburn grabbed a career-high-tying 13 rebounds.

43% of Clyburns 105 total rebounds have come in his last 4 games

Clyburn has grabbed 13 rebounds in each of the last two games and his rebounding average is at a season high 6.6

Clyburn has been rebounding well, but his shooting has suffered going 10-41 (.244) over his last 4 games (3-10 3-10 3-10 1-11)

Over his last three games (All MWC games) Tyrell Green has shot 22% from the field (1-11 4-17 4-13) & is 2-17 from the arc

Jaylen Poser needs 2 points to reach 400 in his career

Only Poyser and Green have started every game this season (16)

UNLV is scoring 72.4 ppg for the season and 72.3 ppg in MWC play

This is a really tough game to call. I think UNLV will have success down low, but the baggies probably pull this one out

I'm 6 feet tall and and 49 years old and I would have success down low against USU.

   In the last five games, the Rebels have trailed by a combined score of 44-22 before making their first substitution :pullhair:

One option could be inserting junior Jovan Mooring sooner. The reserve guard already enters games quickly, usually subbing in at (or around) the first media timeout, but UNLV plays so much better with him on the court that it’s worth considering getting him in the game at the first sign of trouble. In the Rebels’ blowout loss to Boise State on Wednesday, UNLV was already down by 12 points by the time Mooring checked in (nearly seven minutes into the game). In his 26 minutes from that point on, UNLV actually played BSU to a draw, 44-44.

For the season, UNLV’s preferred starting lineup of Jalen Poyser, Uche Ofoegbu, Kris Clyburn, Tyrell Green and Christian Jones has played 58 minutes together; during that span, the Rebels have been outscored by 30 points, 124-94.

Breaking down today’s UNLV-Utah State game

This alone be enough to equal an Aggies victory. Utah State is 6-1 against Marvin Menzies-coached teams in Logan dating to when the UNLV coach was at New Mexico State and both teams were in the Western Athletic Conference

Sub out Ofoegbu, sub in Jovan Mooring and the same lineup is +11.7 per 40 minutes

Looks like it will be a tight game, neither team is very good unfortunately =/

i'm just glad that when usu went on that early 18-4 run the rebs didn't panic and cave in. game of runs for sure, left the corner open the last 3 times and usu took advantage of it.

sloppy basketball overall, but at least the effort seems to be there so far.

Good to see UNLV not just fall like they did against CSU and BSU when they had runs.

Much better effort today.

USU still getting some easy looks and are shooting it very well.

UNLV's zone and forced TO's are why they are only down 6.

Gonna need some better offense to keep this thing close.

All is well, For Rice is gone.
