Sweet.  Maybe some guy from Athlon will put you on a list in 20 years and Mano can post the list here.

It would be Utah's first National Championship trophy in a men's sport.

Don't they have a whole case full of NCAA Skiing Championship trophies?

I'm sure they do; not as many as the great Colorado Buffaloes, but quite a few.

Entertained.

Good, that was the point of this thread, some entertaining speculation pertinent to this league that folks here will enjoy debating ( but you still sound mad ).

Yes, they have a lot of Co-Ed Ski-ing championships, against the other 10 schools in America that compete in that sport.

I think I was pretty awesome in this thread.

I had fun as well, and landed one of my favorite fish.

Utah won a men's basketball national championship in 1944.  And the NIT in 1947.  So they have one for sure.

Stunner only counts men's championships in years and sports that the Utes did not win.

2004 Utah is rated way too low.  Nobody was within 2 TDs of that team except for AFA that year.

2004 was Utah's best team by far IMO...  but 2008 Utah had the better season.  You can only play the teams on the schedule.

I don't necessarily agree with the list (don't shoot the messenger), but thought you guys would enjoy seeing and debating it.

10. 1969-71 Toledo Rockets

9. 1998 Tulane Green Wave

8. 1973-74 Miami (Ohio) Redskins

7. 1999 Marshall Thundering Herd

6. 2004 Utah Utes

5. 2006 Boise State Broncos

4. 1984 BYU Cougars

3. 2009 Boise State Broncos

2. 2008 Utah Utes

1. 2010 TCU Horned Frogs

Great article Mano, thanks for sharing! B)

..or the AP voters, or coaches who voted in '84.  The list is growing.

We do owe the zoobs a debt of gratitude, all of us. Without that '84 shampionship there would never have been a BCS system for the UTES to break down, and subsequently Boise, TCU, Hawaii and Northern Illinois to also break into. Without the BCS success it's improbable that either UTAH or TCU would be where they are today. Too bad the zoobs couldn't also capitalize on that accomplishment.

We have the same number of men's championships as they do
