Prepare Thine Anus 2017 MWC Football

Recommended Posts

Aztecs still have a terrible QB and no playmakers that aren't running backs.. Defense looked like crap the last few weekends and lose a lot their as well. That's good for 3 or so WTF losses.

No doubt SDSU will be a MWC title contender, but this was the year to to do anything on a national scale.

Agreed.  He could have come out and made some money but now he'll be "the man" next year.  He'll get his degree and have a shot to have a mega year.

These two things are what the players miss out on by jumping to the NBA / NFL too soon - UNLV's Zimmermann could have used at least one or two more years at UNLV - He could have been the go to guy for UNLV this season and next.

Terrible QB?  GTFOOH.  He finished third in the conference in passer rating.  On defense we have a lot of guys coming back next year that got a lot of playing time including six starters.

How we do early depends on how long our OL takes to gel.  Our defense will be very good once again.  Likely the best in the conference once again.

From what I saw in person, albeit in a two game sample, you guys will have no drop in production. Penny isn't as quick as Pump but he may be faster on the top end and is a more powerful runner. Two things are working against him for the NFL. First, the overall devaluation of the RB position and then there is an amazing glut of RB talent at the top of this draft class.

Good point. The difference maker in some scouts eyes nowadays are:

1. How good of a back field blocker is he.

2. Does he have soft hands. I.E can he catch the ball on a flare or screen consistently.

The NFL.

Smart move. This is the deepest draft for RBs in years.

Penny will test really well when he decides to go to the NFL. I would guess 220lbs running a 4.5 40.

Your administration is the reason why our basketball league is bleeding out currently. If you didn't insist on San Jose being in the MWC, so you guys would have someone that votes similar to SDSU, every team in the MWC wouldn't have to play 2 games vs. a team with a 330 RPI ranking EVERY season.

You guys are as stupid as you are desperate.   - Cowboy Junky

Next year Aztecs have a much tougher schedule.

Yes, it is more challenging, but completely manageable. ASU is this years version of Cal, and we expect to win that game. UC Davis and NIU are victories at Home. Then we will go 7-1 or 6-2 in conference. 9-3 (6-2) or 10-2 (7-1).
