Last meeting: 2015, BYU won 51-28 in Logan, Utah

UTAH STATE HEAD COACH MATT WELLS
28-24 (4th year) at Utah State

Utah State and BYU meet for the 86th time, dating back to 1922. The Aggies have won 17 games in Provo, and were victorious on the road in 2014 (35-20). Overall, BYU has won 27 of the last 31 contests against the Aggies

Utah State is in the midst of its first four-game losing streak since 2008. The Aggies haven’t dropped five straight since 2007, when they opened the season 0-8.

The Aggies have won 18 of their last 21 games when they produce a 100-yard rusher. When it runs the ball at least 40 times, USU has won 22 of its last 24 contests, including a 3-1 record in 2016.

Last weekend at Nevada, USU rushed for 396 yards on 50 carries, including a career-best performance from Tonny Lindsey, Jr. (21-168). The 396 rushing yards are the second-most this season by the Aggies.

USU had won 35 straight games when scoring at least 30 points in a game until last Saturday when it lost 38-37 at Nevada.

The Aggies have won 16 of their last 22 games played during the month of November.

Junior QB Kent Myers, who ranks third in the Mountain West with 2,291 passing yards, has thrown a touchdown pass in 16 of the last 20 games, and multiple TDs six times in his career.

Myers became the third QB in program history to rush for at least 1,000 career yards, joining Chuckie Keeton (1,415) and Diondre Borel (1,398). Myers has 1,073 rushing yards in his career.

The Aggies concluded Mountain West play at 1-7, which is their worst league record since 2007. Five of the seven losses were by a combined 29 points.

Over the past 10 seasons, BYU has compiled a 34-6 record, including a perfect 18-0 at home during that time. The last November home loss the Cougars suffered was vs. Utah on Nov. 19, 2005 (41-34 in OT).

BYU leads the nation in turnovers gained with 27 (18 interceptions and 9 fumbles). The Cougars turnover margin of +1.09 ranks fifth in the FBS.

The Cougars have scored 46-of-48 trips into the red zone, a .958 conversion percentage that ranks second nationally. BYU has scored 28 touchdowns and had to settle for 18 field goals. The 18 red zone field goals are the second-most in the FBS.

It's +++++ing cold, I think I may go home. Taysom is a lousy passer. Not using Jamaal Williams more is criminal...kinda wanna see what happens with Wyoming and SDSU to see who BYU match up with - win lose or draw.

Aggies showing some fight.

Go Cougars
