Not sure what your point is. No one has said he went to SDSU because "we didn't want him". What I did say is this was a classic case of a kid that had offers and chances to commit and he didn't pull the trigger when he could have. Instead he chose to wait and stay uncommitted and as a result, his offers quickly disappeared as other recruits committed and filled the same spot at the schools he had listed in his "top 5".

Are you suggesting he held offers on signing day from SDSU, Utah, USU, Arizona, and Oregon St. and chose SDSU over them all? The fact is Oregon St. and Utah notified him days before signing day that they had filled their need at LB and Arizona did the same to him the morning of signing day. I'm sure all five schools would have wanted him but all schools put out multiple offers to fill a single position so it becomes first come first served in many cases, especially if other recruiting targets are viewed as higher or equally rated. Himphill still ended up at one of the schools in his top 5 so this didn't turn out as bad for him as it has for others that have done the same thing in the past.

This is why we think you FOS. He pledged to the Aztecs days before signing day.

It can't be verified if in fact, he pledge after communicating with OS and Utah.

At this point, it doesn't matter. Get over it. Move on.

Aztecs added a 2nd JuCo QB to the 2016 class.

I like his highlights. Not the fast QB, but can move the legs to be elusive enough and doesn't get intimidated by a collapsing pocket. I like the zip on his thews. He threads the needle impressive in tight coverage.

I don't think you can go that far.  New stadium and a P5 conference then perhaps.  We did beat out a lot of Pac schools head-to-head for recruits this year but there will always be locals who want to get away or who want to play for a USC, UCLA, Oklahoma, etc.

Just watched 2015 four star LB recruit Kayhva Tezino , Rsf, in scrimmage at Montezuma mesa. Wow!!! He will contribute to an already stellar Aztec defense that returns nine starters to MWC championship roster.  Lots of fun ahead in 2016

According to posters on the CPSLO board, one of their QBs left to walk-on at SDSU.  They are a TO team, so I'm curious to see what packages from AF Morgan will use w/ Jenkins. If he makes the cut. Page 11, midway down is where it is first stated.

That makes two walk-on QB for 2016: JuCo- Jimmy Walker; four-year xfer- Khaleel Jenkins. (Possibly three haven't verified is he's a WO or scholly.).

"Threw my journey..."

Advice to any recruit - send your Twitter announcement to your recruiting coordinator and about five others to make sure you don't embarrass yourself or the institution you plan on attending.

My favorite is when they announce that they're committing to "the University of San Diego State". There is one almost every class.

Yet another late addition to the 2016 class.  Golden West JuCo WR/PR/KR, Quest Truxton, has joined the Aztecs. I like his speed.

Great stats. Last season, Truxton made 68 receptions for 902 yards and 10 TDs, rushed 10 times for 52 yards, had 15 kickoff returns for 392 total yards, and had 18 punt returns for 209 total yards and 1 TD.

Third JUCO QB to sign-on late with the Aztecs. Daniel Prieto followed a bit while he played HS ball. He flipped from OS. Also, that's three JUCO players added this week (LB, WR, & QB)
