    Vegas had an unusually cool June but man July has been nuts. 110-117 every day for the last two weeks or so. It's getting old. Just hot as balls every day and night. Typically, highs might be average around 105-107 right now.

    eh, i have a pool and use it a lot. bout ready to hop in right now. really takes the edge off the heat for a while even after you get out. but they are a pain in the ass and they do use water. Evap is not insignificant but a lawn is worse for water consumption. Not mandatory either. I would say most people that have pools use them quite sparingly, especially if the kids are all grown up.

    My nine year old is a fan now. He's been generally aware that in the summer I usually watch the tour in the evenings, standing in the pool, but now he's watching with me and asking questions about how it all works, the different jerseys, etc.. Last night he kinda snuck out of bed to watch the final climb with me. We've been having a great time. He was bummed this morning when I told him it was a rest day.

    Ngl, I didn't want Cav to break the record. It's way more impressive for a guy that won tours to have that many stage wins. Feels more deserving.
