Just getting around to start the 4th season of "for all mankind" on appletv(found a free 3 month offer). It's a really cool show that I think this board would enjoy with our discussions of space. This season is about asteroid mining and shows the effects of space diplomacy. Sounds right up @halfmanhalfbronco's alley.
The first time they used those lyrics were apparently back in 2019 and they have been bashing maga and trump since before that, which makes this entire thing even funnier, as if this was something new.

Ok I'm all for finding solutions to opt outs here are some solutions (behind a pay wall)
My contention was you claiming that there are too many bowl teams. I do t want fewer games.... They are fun.
So like I said. Your arguing for less college football. Why. It's fun. What else do you have going on to watch over the holidays. The teams get to go on a free trip and play one last game. Why do people got to hate fun.
If the worry is teams like fsu..... Let me tell you about what's happening next year... You'll be pumped.... Problem solved. The point of the thread was complaining about the number of bowls and bowls like the Arizona bowl. Wyoming wouldn't have made any playoff this year regardless of the number allowed but the game was a fun to watch.
Any "solution" I'm seeing here is either addressed in the playoff or advocating for less football which I dislike.
Viva la meaningless bowl games.
Bowls are fun. Get to watch football while im working during the day. Things get wierd. Teams pull out all the stops. Who cares its football and its fun. Besides you get things like the poptarts bowl last night. It was great. The key is the bowls that don't take themselves too seriously.
But I don't understand how it is "Teams and Shit" what team is she on. I get that you are trying to make it a left-right thing with the left defending her because of "teams" but she isn't a politician or anything so I don't get why anyone cares about her in regards to teams. It seems like it is the right"teams" trying to make this an issue using it as an attack on academia then a bunch of people shrugging saying "why should I care about harvards president"(like me) or shrugging and saying"why isn't she qualified, what are the qualifications for president of a university"(like Happy) I don't see anyone defending anything about her esspecially for teams which doesn't appear to be a part of this story.
I'm still struggling to figure out how the president of Harvard is a "lefty echo chamber" or "teams and shit" topic. I still don't know why I should care about it anymore than who the comptroller of Cleveland is. Seems like a Harvard issue and the only reason it's being drummed up is another "see academics bad" topic by right wing media but maybe I'm missing a reason I should have an opinion on this.
