  1. Root beer would be far too aggressive for their overly sensitive taste buds.
  2. Lawlorsissy, let me introduce you to @Slapdad. He won’t ride a bike outfitted with clipless pedals because he’s an under-testosteroned fop just like you. You two should head out to the nearest walking distance bar ASAP and bond over a pitcher of booze-free beer.
  3. What it can do for me is disappear down the toilet, just like the one you just climbed out of to post. Please circle back down now.
  4. Read the bolded sentence again, since you don’t appear able to understand the intent of your own word (written twice now, troll). But just to play along, how is it that you are so certain that few/none of the roughly half a million folks who live in Reno and its environs are unable to leave?
  5. I may have to load up one of my mtn bikes and my fishing rods and make a few days of it in the next year or two. The Wasatch has been on my “to ride” list for a while now. I’ve ridden in southern Utah a few times (in laws live in Toquerville, at least until the FI-L kicks off, likely sometime pretty soon).
  6. Given your attitude, I don’t imagine Reno, its denizens or even Slide Mtn miss you either. If you don’t like northern Nevada, that’s fine, but again, your nonsense suggesting yours is the only opinion worth a turd is laughable. The fact that the bulk of your posts are shots at the U of N and northern Nevada tells us what a happy soul you are IRL. Reno is better off without you.
  7. I haven’t been to the Wasatch Front in more than 30 years, when I enjoyed two weeks in a Weber State dorm in December for a management basic training course for new UPS full time management personnel. This was in my early 20’s in my first career before heading back to school to become a chiropractor. Anywho, the scenery is beautiful, though I never made it into Ogden (UPS threw their new management employees into the deep end, training pretty much sunup to sundown for 14 days). There are many geographical similarities between the two areas, which would suit me since I’m big on outdoor recreation. I’d likely find SLC a fine place to live, but I’d probably have some cultural issues in the more conservative areas.
  8. Grew up in Reno and went to HS and college in Reno. Left for three years for professional schooling and returned. Don’t want to leave and never will. Same for most of my friends. Raised two sons here, now adults, who also don’t want to leave. We all have stories. Stop pretending yours is the only one much less the most representative of those who grew up here.
  9. Which is less surprising to fellow forum members, that Connie, a) “randomly” has bestiality comics landing on a search page (and then clicks on it) or, b) he/she/they actively seeks bestiality content in his/her/their searches?
  10. I look forward to that moment, youngster. This graybeard still has some gas in the tank and wily tricks up his sleeves.
  11. So, golf and maybe ping pong for aerobic work. This suits you.
  12. Pain, sweat, dirt, blood, puckery downhills, grueling uphills, catching that twat who sprinted past you when you were supposed to be out for an easy spin, gliding through 4” of powder (magical) like you were skiing trees, the glory of watching freezing fog cascading down a mountainside as you take in a socked-in Truckee Meadows from the top of a climb before descending into that frozen soup—so much to relate. But if you’ve only ever experienced it from a screen…
  13. And here I thought this was going to be a thread dedicated to our sweaty cycling pursuits, not more waxing eloquently(or not!) on the all the races that aren’t the Tour de France. Five posts in and my eyes are already glazing over!
  14. I’m not sure this is the case. I’ve seen many brackets this month with 5 seeds playing practically on their home turf, including the bracket in this thread, which has WSU playing in Spokane and BYU playing in SLC. Maybe it’s just coincidence.
  15. Nonsense! We are victims here. Show no mercy to this lawlor character. I’m not certain he even rides a damn bike yet he finger diarrheas annual Tour de France threads, each of which contains an easy million words from him. That is torture for anyone, much less a semi-dedicated two-wheel grunt like myself.
  16. @mugtang, I know you claim to no longer hand out bans or other forum penalties, but both @4UNLV and myself, victims of this ^^^ bully and fast friends to you, demand satisfaction! Immediately deliver not just one, but two warning points to this monster in wolf’s clothing. (Your wedding gift may depend on it.)
  17. Not following you here. Mine was a lightly teasing post, young lady. We all have autocorrect misspellings.
  18. Well, that’s probably how the orange guy would spell it, so I can’t see how your post could possibly anger anybody. You win again even while trying to poke the bear.
  19. Persecution complex + attention whore = OP.
  20. Toonk’s a great poster, but the humongous chip on his shoulder related to the U of N, Reno and the Reno area in general have always been way out of character relative the rest of his posting content. I’m curious if there’s actual substance behind it, if it’s simple rival school and city smack or if it’s related to the insecure nonsense that southern Nevadan political leadership/civic bigwigs used to employ in (too often successful) attempts to kneecap northern Nevada institutions and power bases in order to elevate their own interests. We generally don’t see that sort of thing anymore as Las Vegas has truly become an unrivaled world-class entertainment destination and the old guard and their insecurities have mostly died off or lost relevance, but the petty jealousy and bitterness does occasionally surface, especially between the two universities. I’m really not trying to hijack this thread, but I have a feeling this post is going to spark some irritable replies from our southern Nevada friends.
  21. This is a rather broad generalization. What do you mean by “Reno” and what meaningless things are holding “Reno” back? If you’re simply slinging lightweight pre-game smack, fine, but if you actually have a substantive take here, I’m interested in a deeper dive from you.
  22. Jack, I played “real man basketball” for a couple decades before repeated back injuries forced me to move on to other sweaty athletic pursuits. I’m confident I understand physical play on the court better than you, cowboy. Given your Internet forum macho man stance against the scary boogeymen who feel female inside, I suspect you are projecting manliness you don’t and never have exhibited in real life. You should step back on this. Beyond your insecurities, the rest of the nonsense you post here is your usual goalpost shifting, failure to address direct questions drivel. You get piled on because your posts are dumb. Enjoy getting buried again.
