We’ll have to see if CKK can capitalize on this mini run here, to me it’s another what if season. Meaning what if we didn’t blow it vs AFA or what if we had Kalib for the opener, what if Keylan was eligible sooner etc. This is the third what if season to me. Should’ve been NIT eligible in the other seasons at minimum.
That being said, one of the biggest knocks on CKK was his paper thin resume, he’s got some big games won under his belt now, some postseason experience etc. I think this should help on the recruiting trail, moreso if DJ returns.
The training wheels are off so to speak and he can’t rely on the lack of experience excuses anymore to save his job. The next step is to win the conference or go dancing. Have to win at a consistent level otherwise he’s toast next year.
